Process Forecasting

The Process Forecasting feature lets you view an overview of processes to be submitted in the future and process recurrences created with a Submit Frame.

To view a forecast, select one or more processes in the Process Monitor, then right-click one of them and choose Forecast Processes. The Forecast Processes window displays.

The options are as follows.

  • Start Forecast: Lets you choose a starting date and time for the forecast.

  • End Forecast: Lets you choose an ending date and time for the forecast.

  • Create Forecast for: Lets you choose whether to forecast for the process(es) selected in the Process Monitor, all processes that match the selected filter, or all processes in the system.

Click Forecast Processes to run a forecast. The forecast displays in a new tab.

Some additional notes about forecasts:

  • Each forecast is created on the fly, and is not persisted anywhere.

  • Processes that occur in intervals of less than 5 minutes are grouped, and the status of the forecast is marked Frequency Forecast.

  • Depending on the date range, the forecast may display both existing and deleted processes.

  • The maximum number of processes that can be displayed in a forecast is 5000.

  • If you run a forecast on many processes with many different Submit Frames, the forecast may consume significant server resources.
