Privileges Required to Use Alert Escalations

To use Alert Escalations, you need one of the following:

  • scheduler-administrator or redwood-administrator role
  • system or partition-level permissions
  • object-specific privileges

Using Alert Escalations

The following privilege ranks are available on Alert Escalations:

  • Create - allows you to create an Alert Escalation on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank, you automatically get All privilege rank on Alert Escalations you create.
  • View - allows you to view an Alert Escalation on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank.
  • Edit - allows you to create, view, and edit an Alert Escalation on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
  • Delete - allows you to create, view, and delete an Alert Escalation on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
  • All - full control over an Alert Escalation on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).

You always need View privileges on the partition of the Alert Escalation.

Alert Escalations can reference the following objects, you need at least View privileges on these objects as well as their partition(s) when you want to create/edit/delete an Alert Escalation that references them:

Built-in Roles

  • The scheduler-administrator or redwood-administrator built-in role provides full control over Alert Escalations.
  • The scheduler-viewer built-in role provides read-only access to Alert Escalations.

Creating Alert Escalations

You need one of the following privilege ranks to be able to create escalations:

  • Create - allows you to create Alert Escalations on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank, you automatically get All privilege rank on Alert Escalations you create.
  • Edit - allows you to create, view and edit all Alert Escalations on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition, object).
  • All - full control over all Alert Escalations on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition, object).

You also require View privileges on the partition of the Alert Escalation.

Editing Escalations

To successfully edit Alert Escalations, you must have one the following privileges:

  • Edit - allows you to create, view and edit all Alert Escalations on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition, object).
  • All - full control over all Alert Escalations on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition, object).

You also require View privileges on the partition of the Alert Escalation.

Alert Escalations can reference the following objects, you need at least View privileges on these objects and their partition(s) when you want to edit an Alert Escalation that references them:
