Privileges Required to Use Import Rule Definitions

To use Import Rule Definitions you need one of the following:

  • scheduler-administrator or redwood-administrator role
  • system or partition-level permissions
  • object-specific privileges

Using Import Rule Definitions

The following privilege ranks are available on Import Rule Definitions:

  • Create - allows you to create a Import Rule Definition on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank, you automatically get All privilege rank on Import Rule Definitions you create.
  • View - allows you to view a Import Rule Definition on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank.
  • Edit - allows you to create, view, and edit a Import Rule Definition on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
  • Delete - allows you to create, view, and delete a Import Rule Definition on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).
  • All - full control over a Import Rule Definition on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition).

You always need View privileges on the partition of the Import Rule Definition.

Import Rule Definitions can reference the following object, you need at least View privileges on this object as well as its partition when you want to create/edit/delete a Import Rule Definition that references it:

Built-in Roles

  • The scheduler-administrator or redwood-administrator built-in role provides full control over Import Rule Definitions.
  • The scheduler-viewer built-in role provides read-only access to Import Rule Definitions.

Creating Import Rule Definitions

You need one of the following privilege ranks to be able to create Import Rule Definitions:

  • Create - allows you to create Import Rule Definitions on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition), you have no further privileges through this rank, you automatically get All privilege rank on Import Rule Definitions you create.
  • Edit - allows you to create, view and edit all Import Rule Definitions on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition, object).
  • Delete - allows you to create, view, and delete all Import Rule Definitions on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition, object).
  • All - full control over all Import Rule Definitions on the level the privilege was granted (system, partition, object).

Editing Import Rule Definitions

To successfully edit an Import Rule Definition, you must have at least one of the following privileges:

  • Edit - privilege rank on the Import Rule Definition, or on Import Rule Definitions in its partition or system-wide
  • All - privilege rank on the Import Rule Definition, or on Import Rule Definitions in its partition or system-wide
