About Monitor Alert Sources

The Monitor Nodes screen (Configure > Control > Alerting > Monitor Nodes) displays a visual representation of the status of all monitored components. Any node can be monitored with a Monitor Alert Source.

A Monitor Alert Source uses escalations to raise Alerts when a monitored component reaches a specific severity. For example, a Monitor Alert Source can raise an Alert if the host running the RunMyJobs server is running out of swap space, or a Queue is held.

Note: When you monitor a node, you also monitor all of its children. You can monitor the entire system by monitoring the root /System/ Monitor Node.
