Creating a Process Server with a Wizard

When you create a Process Server with the RunMyJobs user interface, you must specify the type of Process Server you want to create. At the end of the process, RunMyJobs will generate a Process Server installer that is linked to the instance of RunMyJobs where it was created by a shared secret value.

Note: When you create a Process Server this way, that installer will work ONLY with the instance of RunMyJobs where it was created. If you want to install a Process Server that is linked to a different instance of RunMyJobs, you must create that Process Server installer in that instance of RunMyJobs.

If you choose an option other than AS/400 (IBM System i), SAP System, or Manual Setup, a wizard displays, with the steps depending on the type of Process Server.

  • Linus, UNIX, or Windows: The wizard guides you through the creation of a customized Platform Agent installer. For more information, see Installing Platform Agents.
  • SAP System: The SAP system wizard displays.
  • JDBC: The database wizard displays.

Tip: If you want to install multiple Platform Agents, you can download generic Platform Agent installers instead of using the Process Server wizard.
