Editing User Settings
To display the Edit User Settings pop-up window, click User Settings. The settings you can customize are described below.
- Full Name: Your full name according to the authentication system.
- E-Mail: Your email address according to authentication system.
- Out of Office: Lets you specify out-of-office dates and specify that messages should be forwarded to a different user during the out-of-office period.
- Confirmation: Lets you require user confirmation for the following actions.
- Delete any object
- Cancel process
- Ask confirmation after pressing cancel
- Kill process
- Restart process
- Reply Operator Message direct: Lets you require a confirmation before you can reply directly to an Operator Message. For more information, see Operator Messages.
- Submit
- Only allow submit from summary page: When this option is checked, the Submit button in the Submit Wizard will only be enabled on the wizard's Summary page. For more information about the Submit Wizard, see Submit Wizard.
- Time Zone: Lets you specify your local time zone. This setting is critical for scheduled processes.
- Interface: Lets you control the look and feel of the user interface.
- Active Theme: Lets you choose from various user interface themes.
- Language: Lets you set the language of the user interface. You must log out and log back in for a language change to take effect. For the list of supported user interface languages, see User Interface Languages.
- Environment color: Lets you choose different accent colors for different environments. This is a Redwood best practice.
- Allow edit as XML: When this option is checked, an additional XML tab is displayed for every object in its editor window, with the XML source of the object definition. For more information, see Editing Objects in XML.
- Use basic HTML Chain editor (deprecated): Lets you turn the basic Chain editor on and off.
- Position for clipping long names: Lets you specify where long strings are truncated in order to make them fit into a field.
- Navigation Bar: Lets you specify a navigation bar layout. For more information, see Custom Navigation Bars.
- Show No Display parameters: Lets you control how parameters that have the Display property disabled are displayed in the user interface.
- Export related objects by default: Lets you control whether related objects are automatically exported along with explicitly selected objects. For more information, see Exporting Objects.
- Format type: The format you want to use for displaying dates and other data that has region-dependent formats.
- Enable smart date format: When this is checked, dates that are immediately adjacent to the current day are referred to as Yesterday and Tomorrow instead of the actual dates. Only the time is displayed for the current day.
- Locale: A dropdown list that lets you select the locale you want to use. Locales are listed by
<language> (<country>)
, and displayed in the language as set in the Language field. - Custom format: Lets you specify date formats using SimpleDateFormat syntax.
- Editable Date Field Format: This is the format used in editable date fields. See Date Formatting for available variables.
- Long Date format: This is the longer variant of the date formats. See Date Formatting for available variables.
- Medium Date format: This is the medium-size date format. See Date Formatting for available variables.
- Thousand Separator: Lets you specify the thousands separator for numbers.
- Decimal Separator: Lets you specify the decimal separator for numbers.
