Modern UI Known Issues

The Modern UI is currently in Beta, and consequently it has the following known issues.

General

  • If you right-click an object in an overview table, two context menus display, one after the other. The second context menu is the correct one.

  • On the Home Dashboard screen, the By SLA Status section is still under construction and may not present correct data in some scenarios.

  • The REL Expression Editor overlay is not yet available from all fields that accept REL expressions.

  • Redwood plans to optimize the layout of the screen to be able to fit more information, regardless of screen resolution.

  • Redwood plans to enhance Advanced Search to support more Objects and scenarios.

Monitor Screen

  • There are discrepancies between the data shown in the SLA Dashboard screen and the Monitor screen, which in certain use cases result in incorrect SLA data presented on the Monitor screen. Therefore, in RunMyJobs 2024.2.0, the SLA Dashboard screen the only supported and recommended way to track Service Level Agreements in RunMyJobs.

  • Job calls and Workflow calls that do not take a long time to execute display as narrow, lightly shaded vertical bars in Gantt Chart view. For more information about such Processes, zoom in by pressing Ctrl and rotating the mouse wheel.

  • The SLA portion of the Monitor screen sometimes incorrectly reports Missed Jobs as Met.

  • Redwood plans to improve zooming and time range navigation in the the Monitor screen's Gantt Chart view.

  • The numbers displayed in the cards at the top of the Monitor screen currently only count Workflows and Jobs that are not associated with a Workflow. Redwood plans to include Jobs that are inside of Workflows in these numbers.

  • The Runtime View's look and feel have not yet been updated to the Modern visual theme.

Studio

  • Redwood plans to improve the user interface for parameter mapping.

  • Redwood plans to improve the Job Call overlay.

  • Redwood plans to provide advanced actions in the Studio, such as adding groups of Jobs and Duplicating Steps or Job calls.

  • Redwood plans to improve the default position of large Workflows in the Workflow Editor.

  • Redwood plans to provide a better user interface for creating and displaying Event dependencies.

  • Redwood plans to introduce a tree view option to help you navigate within very large Workflows.

  • Redwood plans to provide a better structure and more templates in Workflow Editor's Job list, and to in general make it make it easier for new users to select Jobs.
